Proficiency levels

There is an order that allows the students to learn little by little in the learning process, and it is divided in three sections: beginning levels, intermediate levels, and advanced levels.
The beginning levels seem to be easy, but they are not. Since the student has little or no prior knowledge of a foreign language, the teacher is responsible to teach as much as he/she can because it will help in the others levels. The educator has to talk a lot because the student has to retain the vocabulary to talk later.  The simple techniques have to be used at these levels, for they are more understandable.

The intermediate levels suppose the student have progressed in the fluency, writing, reading, and listening. It is crucial that the students talk with a good fluency and use proper vocabulary.  The teacher helps them to correct their own mistakes, and the methods and techniques should be more complex.
The advanced levels let the student to explore and answer their questions.

The job of the teacher seems to be easier because students know more and he/she can explain in detail about something and they will know about what you are talking. The grammar and techniques are complex and difficult.

TEACHING  ACROSS THE AGE LEVELS
Teaching is one of the most important jobs; the learning process depends on the way the educator uses his/her techniques. To teach children is so different than to teach adults or teens because children take some time to understand some things than adults and teens can understand or are supposed to. And teacher have to know how to deal with each situation.

To teach children the teacher needs to know that they are very resentful. If the student answers a question and it is correct, the teacher congratulates the student or perhaps he gives him a candy. There some evidence that shows that cognition and affection are to principal factor in the student life.
Teachers need to help the student (adults, teens, children) to overcome such potential barriers to learning, but how? They can help all age students to laugh about each other mistake, this mean that mistakes have to be laughed in order to be fixed or corrected. Jokes and annoyed things is not permitted.

Also teachers have to be patient because all the students take time to learn; they do not be in a hurry to cover a lesson or a topic. For they learn little by little.
The educator has to teach the learner as much as possible new vocabulary because they like to talk about everything. There must be a coherence in the process, that means not only reading and writing but also listening and speaking.

Teaching seems to be a challenge for all the educators because they are different types of students and they learn different, so he must choose the methods and techniques that can be useful to create a good environment to the students to learn.

suggestopedia activity

What I liked from my activity was that role play situations are really nice; however, students prefer to do another activity, but I think it is a way to learn vocabulary very fast and funny. Also others activities can have the facility to teach in a different way, suggestopedia teaches in a good way. The teacher has to perform the activity, and that is what I liked.

I felt comfortable being teacher because my classmates were enjoying that activity. When my friends made the paper as my students, I imagined that a day I will have my own students. I hope I have the ability to teach other people because in the evaluation I could see differently the way to teach.

Since I got the experience to be in front the class, I think I could be clearer with the directions or the words I chose were too simples. Maybe the time to develop in the front was not enough. But in the future I will change my mind.
I liked the way other activity  methods act. Because it is really interesting when they learn with games, Hatchie patchy and Simon says are the best examples.  They could noticed that all the classmates had participated in the game, that was good!

"suggestopedia"

WHAT DID I LIKE FROM MY METHOD?

I like suggestopedia because it helps to teach in an esier way, moreover, students enjoy this method.
teaching a new language, students can exercise their mind. This method make the student to feel comfortable while they are learning. this method is based on the student´s feelings, it is something rare in others methods. Teachers must have to be active, not clonws, because this needs someone who develops in a right way.

If we stimulate the right part of their brains, they will learn more and they are going to know much information than usual. So that, this method requires of songs, music, poetry, books, role-play, and things like those in order to make the student learn better. Also this way allows to acelerate the learning process because students know faster the words we want them to learn, in this case a foreing language.

The expert, Georgi Lozanov, thought that it was much better to work with the feelings of the student more than a simple topic. That means that teacher must have to know how to incorporate this method in a classroom and, how the method works.

WHAT DID NOT I LIKE FROM MY METHOD?
Well, I did not like when teachers have to look for a kind of music that they could like, or they have to ask for money to the principal in order to do the activity. Also it needs a lot of time to prepare an activity, in addition, we need time to incorporate the method in a class. It wastes time in some cases and your students do not learn as much as we want because it is only games and nothig formal.

WHAT I UNDERSTOOD  FROM THE OTHER METHOD:
I think that TPR is a method in which we need a lot of creativity and imagination to share information with the people who learn. It is more thatn a simple listening comprehension because you have to put attention in a special way. It helps us to incorpotate new things in the learning process with the language.I think there is something wrong, students do not have chance to participate and express what they want.

Children & Books (interesting article)

"There is no such thing as a child who hates to read; there are children who haven't found the rigth book"

There are children in the world’s education and they think that every single book is boring. Teachers must have to teach that in a book they can explore their imagination and they are going to develop their skills in education just reading a book by self motivation.

Like futures teachers we have to teach our students in a right way, I mean, if we have a long book we can make it short by telling and not to read we can sum up and they learn vocabulary.

A right book for a child is that one which has a lot of draws and big letter, for that reason is better to look for a short and colorful book to share with our children; they prefer to learn by draws than reading a boring understandable book.

To teach children is a big challenge because of the attention they give us, if we lose their attention we couldn’t teach. It is the same thing if we give a enormous book, they are going to be bored and the book are not going to catch their attention, that’s different with a small interesting book.

To hate reading for a child is not surprise because they are accustom to feel that when they heard “let’s read a book”, I think they have to choose the book they want to read, if they prefer to read science, nature, story, tales, whatever they want they will be interested in and they’re going to learn with their imagination and the more important by themselves.
