Proficiency
levels
There
is an order that allows the students to learn little by little in the learning process,
and it is divided in three sections: beginning levels, intermediate levels, and
advanced levels.
The
beginning levels seem to be easy, but they are not. Since the student has
little or no prior knowledge of a foreign language, the teacher is responsible
to teach as much as he/she can because it will help in the others levels. The educator
has to talk a lot because the student has to retain the vocabulary to talk
later. The simple techniques have to be
used at these levels, for they are more understandable.
The
intermediate levels suppose the student have progressed in the fluency,
writing, reading, and listening. It is crucial that the students talk with a
good fluency and use proper vocabulary. The
teacher helps them to correct their own mistakes, and the methods and
techniques should be more complex.
The
advanced levels let the student to explore and answer their questions.
The job
of the teacher seems to be easier because students know more and he/she can
explain in detail about something and they will know about what you are
talking. The grammar and techniques are complex and difficult.
