"There is no such thing as a child who hates to read; there are children who haven't found the rigth book"
There are children in the world’s education and they
think that every single book is boring. Teachers must have to teach that in a
book they can explore their imagination and they are going to develop their
skills in education just reading a book by self motivation.
Like futures teachers we have to teach our students in
a right way, I mean, if we have a long book we can make it short by telling and
not to read we can sum up and they learn vocabulary.
A right book for a child is that one which has a lot
of draws and big letter, for that reason is better to look for a short and
colorful book to share with our children; they prefer to learn by draws than
reading a boring understandable book.
To teach children is a big challenge because of the
attention they give us, if we lose their attention we couldn’t teach. It is the
same thing if we give a enormous book, they are going to be bored and the book
are not going to catch their attention, that’s different with a small
interesting book.
To hate reading for a child is not surprise because
they are accustom to feel that when they heard “let’s read a book”, I think
they have to choose the book they want to read, if they prefer to read science,
nature, story, tales, whatever they want they will be interested in and they’re
going to learn with their imagination and the more important by themselves.
Hi Rose,
ResponderEliminarI'm not in agreement with you when you say that kids should develop skills of self-motivation. Teachers should guide that development, if you let the kids take their own decisions they won't read anything. Maybe we have to encourage them to read nice books, from the simplest things to the more complex things. I share most of your ideas, but self-motivation it's difficult to get from students who have television, computers and different type of technology around them.
thanks for your opinion.
Eliminaryou're right but I meant self motivation in order to "motivate" the student to read, that will be the first step. you have to let the student develop their knowledge under your supervision, not let them alone.
Hi classmates!
ResponderEliminarIn my opinion,I think I´m in agreement with Denis when he says that teachers have to encourage the students to read a book, but the matter is what type of book are they going to read?, it´s difficult to choose a book because anybody has the same likes, that´s why the teacher must know the interests of the children and maybe let them to choose the book they want to read but keeping the idea of getting a good message from the book, after that I think I´m with Rose when she talks about self mativation, the student will be motivated to read when she/he find that graet books exist.
hey, Edgar!
ResponderEliminarthat is a good comment, we have to know the way we want to make our children to read and make it a habit, for that reason we should give time to know our student very well to teach the reading according their knowledge, age and others factors.
Hi, I think that is a good idea if children choose their book like you said; but, teachers have to guide them, because sometimes children or some children do not know what kind of books they have to choose, they can see a book with a beautiful cover. However, that book can be difficult for the student. So, the teacher's role is guide their students to choose their correct book and answer some doubts that their students have about their books.
ResponderEliminarIn a perfect world, it would be awesome to allow students choose what they want to read; however we have to be careful since they might go for things that will hurt them instead of making them grow as humans and professionals.
EliminarHi Rosa I think that teachers should guide their students for developing their motivation because if teachers leave students to do whatever they want they will not do anytning! The teachers have tolook for the best way to give the necessary motivation :)
